PhantomOmics is proud to announce that we have been selected to lead a featured educational session at the 2026 ASCHA Home for Housing Convention in Edmonton, April 13–15.

ASCHA’s (Alberta Seniors & Community Housing Association) invitation for PhantomOmics to present is an opportunity for us to engage directly with the leaders of organizations serving over 100,000 Albertans. We are honored that ASCHA is supporting our participation, allowing us to contribute to the vital conversations happening in Edmonton this April around proactive care in senior housing.

Moving from Reactive to Proactive Care

Traditional senior care is often reactive, identifying health issues only after an incident—like a fall or a hospital visit—has occurred. PhantomOmics is changing that with our AI-powered, non-invasive health scanning platform.

Our work is rooted in the belief that health monitoring should be invisible, dignified, and embedded where seniors feel most comfortable. In partnership with Garden Loft, we have demonstrated how our system can be built directly into the residential environment—specifically within the bathroom—to monitor health without disrupting daily life and allowing for:

  • Fall Prevention: Monitoring balance, postural sway, and gait symmetry to flag instability.

  • Early Intervention: Detecting trends in hydration, inflammation, and cardiovascular performance.

  • Staff Efficiency: Providing objective data and actionable insights that reduce the burden on stretched care teams.

While our embedded systems are transforming specialized housing, we recognize that many Albertans wish to age in place or live in rural communities where access to consistent monitoring is a challenge.

To meet this need, PhantomOmics is currently developing portable scanning units as well as those that integrate into the existing home. These mobile solutions are designed to bring the same high-level insights into homes to age in place and remote areas, ensuring that geography is no longer a barrier to proactive, high-quality care.

The Panel: Innovation in Action

We are excited to join a panel of industry pioneers to discuss how we can collectively improve the standard of care across Alberta:

  • Carson Sander (CEO, PhantomOmics): On the vision of seamless, embedded health technology.

  • Dr. Laurie Hiemstra (Orthopaedic Surgeon): On the clinical science of non-invasive screening and injury prevention.

  • The Brenda Strafford Foundation: On the operational impact of high-tech integration in community care.

  • Garden Loft: On redefining the "Smart Home" by embedding health scanning into modular senior housing.

The session at the ASCHA Home for Housing Convention marks a pivotal moment for PhantomOmics as we scale across Alberta and beyond.

"ASCHA’s invitation is a massive vote of confidence. It shows that the industry is ready to move past the status quo and embrace technology that keeps seniors independent, healthy, and out of the hospital." — Carson Sander, CEO of PhantomOmics
